Michael Ayalon: CEO, Greek University | NIC Bronze Alliance Partner 

As a professional public speaker, author, social media figure, host of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, and CEO of Greek University, Michael Ayalon is a recognized thought leader in the realms of fraternity and sorority life, business leadership, and higher education. Mike and his team published five books for Fraternity and Sorority leaders, including the From Letters to Leaders book series and “Using AI to Grow Your Fraternity or Sorority”. Mike is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Assessment, Learning, and Student Success (Higher Education Concentration) at Middle Tennessee State University and anticipates completion in May of 2025.

Ashley Byrd: Executive Director, Alpha Omicron Pi Foundation | Foundation staff size: 3-5

Executive Director Ashley Byrd joined the AOII Foundation team in early 2020 after spending nearly 20 years in non-profit fundraising. Working with volunteers to move the mission forward is one of her passions. She lives in Brentwood, TN with her husband, Jason and two boys, Tyler (5) and Logan (1). 

Andy Canada: Senior Consultant and Director of Data Analytics, JGA | FFE Bronze Alliance Partner 

Andy Canada joined JGA in 2010 after serving as Development Director for the Indiana University Foundation, where he served as lead fundraiser for the School of Health Physical Education and Recreation (HPER). Prior to joining the Indiana University Foundation, Andy served as Director of Development for the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. He also worked in Purdue’s Planned Giving area, leading key initiatives to increase donor gifts through estate planning vehicles. By educating donors on planned giving opportunities, he helped to raise $26.5 million in new documented gifts for the university.

Rebekah Cheney, MBA: Director of Annual Giving, Western Carolina University | Foundation staff size: 10+

Rebekah Cheney started her career in philanthropic trust administration and then found the wonderful world of higher ed fundraising.  Since joining the WCU team as Director of Annual Giving, Rebekah has been the driving force behind the University’s very first Day of Giving and has increased annual support ever since her arrival.

Ryan Collett: Chief Development Officer, Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation | Foundation staff size: 10+

Ryan Collett is the Chief Development Officer for the Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation where he oversees the revenue and operations of the Foundation. Since joining the Foundation in 2018 his involvement has led to the organization achieving record breaking fundraising years including staff’s highest total dollars raised, highest unrestricted dollars raised, highest dollars granted to the International Fraternity, highest President’s Council membership (annual recurring giving program of $1,000 or more).

Sarah Cone: Senior Director of Development Operations, Alpha Delta Pi Foundation | Foundation staff size: 5-10

Sarah Cone is the Senior Director of Development Operations at the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation, responsible for direct mail, digital fundraising, day of giving, phone-a-thon, event-based fundraising, marketing and communications, stewardship and special events, technology, and day-to-day Foundation operations. Prior to joining the Foundation staff in 2014, Sarah was the director of the alumni relations offices at Richmond Law and George Washington Law. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business from The Ohio State University, J.D. from University of Richmond Law, and master’s degree in higher education administration from The George Washington University.

Alicia Favata, CFRE: Chief Advancement Officer, Delta Zeta Foundation | Foundation staff size: 3-5

Alicia Favata, CFRE currently serves as Delta Zeta’s Chief Advancement Officer, providing overall leadership and direction to Delta Zeta Foundation’s strategy for major gifts, annual giving, stewardship, planned giving, student philanthropy and more. Returning to the Delta Zeta staff in 2015 as the Director of Alumnae Engagement (after previously serving as an Educational Leadership Consultant), Alicia started her successful fundraising career in community non-profit and higher education fundraising. She is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Music: vocal performance.

Erin Fisher: CEO, The Leadership & Training Studio

Erin Fischer is the owner and CEO of The Leadership and Training Studio, a leadership development company that focuses on bringing true, funny, and highly engaging components to keynotes instead of boring Power Points! She hates long intros, so here is the short version, she’s written two published books, she’s spoken in 46 states, she has keynoted in front of 35,000 people over the past 15 years, written hundreds of leadership programs for her Fraternal clients, and she is only good at four things in this world. One is being an aunt to all her nieces and nephews, and one is being a human GPS. (Ask her about the other two!) What you really need to know is she is fascinated by human dynamics and has studied confidence, grit and resiliency to help folks work better together. 

Sean FitzGerald, CFRE: Director of Development, Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation | Foundation staff size: 3-5

Sean FitzGerald (he/him) has spent the past 8+ years dedicated to philanthropy, most recently as Director of Advancement for Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation, of which he is a member. Prior experience includes raising funds toward medical research and higher education. Threading the needle between a donor’s “why” and a mission’s needs through effective communication is his specialty.

Will Foran: Chief Operating Officer, North American Interfraternity Conference

Will has worked with fraternity leaders for 20 years in various professional and volunteer roles. At the NIC, he has served as Director of Education and Leadership Development, Vice President of Education, Vice President of University Relations and Senior Vice President of Campus Operations. In his current role, Will works with the NIC Campus Support Team focused on supporting IFCs, student leaders, alumni and campus partners to elevate fraternity communities. Will is a founding member of his chapter of Phi Mu Delta fraternity, initiated at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Allison Foster, CFRE: Director of Donor Relations, Alpha Chi Omega Foundation | Foundation staff size: 5-10

Allison J. Foster serves as a Director of Donor Relations with the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation. She has an extensive background in higher education and the fraternal world as her career is focused on work on campuses and within fraternal staff teams for both the Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity and Foundation. Allison believes in the power of relationships and the impact they can have on the forward movement of organizations. Allison holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Stetson University and a Master of Arts in Education, Concentration: Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut. She is a Florida native and is currently living in Salt Lake City, Utah, enjoying the mountains and the outdoors.

Lindsey Gale: Associate, Taylor Bell Consulting | FFE Gold Alliance Partner 

With nearly 25 years of experience, Lindsey Gale is a strategic fundraiser with a passion for building relationships and maximizing an organization’s success. Her analytical and problem-solving skills help her develop creative solutions and achieve results.  Lindsey’s positive attitude and commitment to helping others make her a motivating and inspiring presenter.

Tracy Garner: Past Trustee and President, Alpha Delta Pi Foundation | Foundation staff size: 5-10

Tracy Garner currently is serving in her second year as a member of the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence (FFE) Board of Directors and as Chair of the FFE Grants Committee.  In 2022, Tracy was recognized by FFE as Outstanding Foundation Volunteer. Prior to her service on the FFE Board, Tracy served for 12 years on the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation Board holding a variety of positions including Vice President of Finance, We Believe Comprehensive Campaign Chair and five years as Board President. Prior to her Foundation service, she served Alpha Delta Pi as Director of Development, Leadership Chair, and International Secretary.  In 2019, Tracy retired from AT&T as Vice President of Internet and Entertainment Field Services.

Brian Gawor, CFRE: Consultant, JGA  | FFE Bronze Alliance Partner 

Brian Gawor, CFRE is a 25-year higher education and nonprofit expert who has served in roles in annual and major giving after starting in student affairs and enrollment. During his career as a consultant, he has helped hundreds of organizations transform their donor outreach. A dedicated “giving geek,” he works to bring the power of emerging data technology to our work in actionable ways to personalize donor outreach. Brian now leads JGA’s efforts to bring this next level technology to organizations of all sizes and improve the donor experience to spark transformative giving.

Marsha Grady, CFRE: Chief Development Officer, Alpha Chi Omega Foundation | Foundation staff size: 10+

Marsha Grady, CFRE, currently serves as Chief Development Officer for the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, leading a team of professionals responsible for raising funds to support the educational and philanthropic programs and initiatives of Alpha Chi Omega. She achieved CFRE certification in 2017. In addition to her volunteer work with Alpha Chi Omega, she served from 2017-20 as Vice President and co-founder of Lean On: Alabama, a nonprofit focused on supporting collaborative and uplifting relationships for women in the state of Alabama; served on the board of the Distinguished Young Women of America from 2018-20; and currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence.

Ben Gold: Speaker and Consultant, Greek University | NIC Bronze Alliance Partner

With two decades of experience in technology, Ben Gold has honed his expertise in enterprise-level AI solutions for the past five years. Specifically, he has leveraged AI to analyze tens of thousands of customer conversations, providing invaluable insights for enterprise clients. Ben specializes in advising individuals and organizations on optimizing the use of AI to achieve measurable value, actionable insights and tangible outcomes.

Nathan Hand: Chief Advancement Officer, The Oaks Academy and Faculty at The Fund Raising School at The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy 

Nathan Hand is a professional fundraiser who enjoys connecting people to the causes that need them. He has served local, national and international organizations and guided philanthropists on strategic giving. 

Nathan currently serves as Chief Advancement Officer at The Oaks Academy in Indianapolis, Faculty at The Fund Raising School at The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University, and is Past State President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Indiana Chapter. He serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations and was selected as the first North American member of Rogare, a global fundraising think tank based at Plymouth University in the UK. 

He’s a full-time fundraising and philanthropy practitioner. In his spare time he speaks and consults on a variety of topics. Nathan has been quoted in the New York Times, Nonprofit Quarterly, Chronicle of Philanthropy, CNN Money and more. He’s contributed to and edited several articles and texts including Marketing Management for Nonprofit Organizations, Oxford University Press, 3rd ed and authored a chapter in the latest, 5th edition of Achieving Excellence in Fundraising.  

Dan Hartmann, CFRE: President & CEO, Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation | Foundation staff size: 5-10 

Dan Hartmann, CFRE serves as the fifth President & CEO of Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation, stewarding $16M in assets under management and annually grants more than $1M to the Fraternity, local chapter initiatives, and direct student aid. Dan brings two decades of experience in philanthropy and non-profit leadership. Prior to rejoining the staff in 2019, Brother Hartmann served as Director of Development at Indiana University – Indianapolis, the largest urban higher education research institution in Indiana. He also previously served as COO of the NIC Foundation, now the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence.

Cecily Hurt: Senior Director of Annual Giving, Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation | Foundation staff size: 10+

As the Sr. Director of Annual Giving at The Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation since 2017, Cecily Hurt leads initiatives that aim to generate over $500,000 in annual revenue. Her role encompasses creating and implementing a comprehensive communication and solicitation strategy, utilizing channels such as email, direct mail, social media, and phone. She manages key cultivation and stewardship programs, including the $1,000+ giving club, The President’s Council. Additionally, Cecily plans and executes the direct mail program, coordinates the annual report, and collaborates with various departments to ensure the success of significant fundraising events like Founders Day of Giving, Giving Tuesday, and PIKE Now. She lives in Memphis, TN with her husband Matthew, and two children Aleah and Elliott.

Sally Kimball: Executive Vice President, Chi Omega Foundation | Foundation staff size: 10+

Sally Kimball is the Executive Vice President of the Chi Omega Foundation and is actively engaged in leading the Foundation’s $20 million “Ever At Heart” Campaign.

Katie Kowalski: Vice President & Chief Experience Officer, Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation | Foundation staff size: 10+

Katie Kowalski serves Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation as the Vice President-Engagement with a focus on donor and volunteer engagement and a goal of growing overall involvement and investment through traditional and peer-to-peer campaigns. Katie graduated from Ball State University and has 15 years of experience in nonprofit marketing and fundraising, including 10 years serving fraternal foundations.

Leslie Martin: Executive Director, Delta Gamma Foundation | Foundation staff size: 10+

Leslie Martin, she/her, is the Executive Director of the Delta Gamma Foundation. She holds a Master of Public Health from The Ohio State University and has had her CFRE since 2017. She has held several development positions in the non-profit industry including director of planned giving, director of development and major gift officer. Since returning to the Delta Gamma Foundation in 2020, Leslie has overseen a team of professional staff and volunteers who have launched the public phase of Delta Gamma’s first ever comprehensive campaign, Anchoring the Future, which has raised over $47 million and counting.

Kevin Massimino: Enterprise Account Executive, Gravyty | FFE Bronze Alliance Partner

Kevin Massimino is an Enterprise Account Executive at Gravyty focused on providing industry-leading technology to fundraisers and advancement professionals around the world. He began his advancement career as a Leadership Gift Officer before jumping into the world of tech and working with over 300 organizations to improve online giving, portfolio management, alumni engagement, and personalized stewardship. He is a proud alum of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Washington-Alpha chapter.

Heather Matthews: Director of Marketing and Communications, Kappa Delta Sorority | Foundation staff size: 5-10

Heather Matthews is Director of Marketing and Communications for Kappa Delta Sorority. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University and earned a master’s in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University. For more than 15 years, Heather has been working with fraternal organizations to build and implement impactful communication strategy, having served four years as chief communications officer for Sigma Phi Epsilon and three years as chief communications officer for the North American Interfraternity Conference. Prior to that, she worked for Zeta Tau Alpha for nearly a decade, including three years as director of education and communication.

Michael McPhee: Director of Development, Gamma Phi Beta Foundation | Foundation staff size: 1-2 

Michael McPhee serves as the Director of Development for the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation. He has 10+ years of experience in higher education and sorority and fraternity life. He is passionate about creating a member centered experience, the power of building meaningful relationships, and understanding future societal trends to understand how they will impact the higher education space. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and Asian Studies from Furman University and a Master of Arts in Higher Education from the University of Denver. He is an avid runner and is currently living in Denver, Colorado.

Adam Morgan: Senior Director of Development & Alumni Engagement, Phi Kappa Psi Foundation and Managing Partner, MVP Advisors | Foundation staff size:  10+

Having worked with small volunteer-led nonprofits to some of the largest nonprofits in the world – and everything in between, Adam brings a wide range of experience to his work with nonprofits.  

With over two decades of nonprofit experience under his belt, Adam has made significant contributions to veterans’ services, higher education, cancer research, human services, and environmental education and conservation. He is eager to channel his expertise into your organization. 

Adam has a Master’s in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, where he was a member of the Nu Lambda Mu honors society. He has helped found several small nonprofits in Delaware and currently serves on the boards of the Spur Impact Association and The Pilot School. 

Adam’s leadership and fundraising prowess have been instrumental in the success of various organizations. He has managed major gifts, annual fund, capital campaigns, special events, and membership programs for the American Cancer Society, Freedom Alliance, The Salvation Army, Phi Kappa Psi Foundation, and Delaware Nature Society. 

He is the Managing Member of MVP Advisors, a consulting firm that specializes in helping nonprofits, community organizations, and philanthropic families grow and succeed. 

Adam loves to see the people he coaches and works with thrive doing the things that they are passionate about. In his personal time, Adam enjoys family time with his wife and their two children, traveling together as much as they can, and spending time at the Delaware beaches! 

Meghan Parker: Executive Director, Zeta Tau Alpha | Foundation staff size: 3-5
Ben Pendry, CFRE: Associate Vice Chancellor for Development, Western Carolina University | Foundation staff size: 10+

Ben Pendry has served in various staff and volunteer roles in fraternal and higher ed fundraising.  After serving on staff with the NIC and Sigma Chi Foundation, Ben found his way to higher ed where he now leads the development office for his alma mater.

Kevin Prout: Director of Partnerships, GivaGrant | FFE Bronze Alliance Partner

Kevin Prout is a graduate of California State University, Chico and as an undergraduate was a founding father of his Lambda Chi Alpha Chapter. He served as their president for two years and is an active alumni advisor.  Professionally he has held strategic business development roles with enterprise software companies and with experience bringing new technology to market . Kevin joined GivaGrant as Director of Partnerships in early February of 2024 and is responsible for bringing this proven platform to the entire Greek system.

Allison Rickels, CFRE: Executive Director & CEO, FarmHouse Foundation | Foundation staff size: 5-10 

Allison Rickels has over two decades of leadership with the FarmHouse Foundation, where she has become synonymous with fundraising success in the interfraternal industry. During her tensure, she  has led the growth of their Foundation’s assets from $4 million to $28.5 million and, on average raising $3 million annually. She excels at building the infrastructure required to deliver on annual fund operations, endowment building and campaigns.

Travis Robinson: Director of Annual Giving, Beta Theta Pi Foundation | Foundation staff size: 5-10

Travis Robinson is the Director of Annual Giving at the Beta Theta Pi Foundation, responsible for cultivating donor relationships,  implementing fundraising strategies and stewarding philanthropic support for the organization’s mission. Travis recently achieved significant success in leading the Beta Theta Pi Foundation in a record-setting giving day campaign, raising over $500,000 in unrestricted funds for their Beta Leadership Fund. Travis brings a unique blend of expertise including business development, entrepreneurship, fundraising, nonprofit management, and community development to his role.

Tiana Ronstadt: Board Vice President, Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation | Foundation staff size: 5-10 

Tiana Ronstadt, Lead Power Woman of Power Women Investing in Tucson, founded PWI in 2006 with a mission to empower individuals for financial independence. As a leading producer at Osaic Wealth, Tiana is renowned for her passion for new ideas and empathy for clients, honed through her own life experiences, including the sudden death of her father at 18. She’s a sought-after speaker and mentor in both the financial industry and her local Tucson community, known for her dedication to helping clients navigate life’s toughest transitions. Tiana also serves as Vice President for Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation Board of Directors.

Aleesa Ross: Senior Director of Development, Delta Gamma Foundation | Foundation staff size: 10+

After serving as a Delta Gamma volunteer for more than 20 years, including serving as Council Trustee: Collegians for four years, Aleesa Ross joined the Delta Gamma Foundation staff in 2021 as the senior director of development. Prior to her work on the Foundation staff, Aleesa was a high school English and journalism teacher in Tennessee, worked in higher education at both Vanderbilt University and Texas Tech University, and led marketing teams for a regional home builder and a regional roofing company in West Texas.

Scott Sikes, MBA, CFRE, FAHP, CFP: Principal, Columns Fundraising | FFE Silver Alliance Partner

Scott Sikes has a 30-year nonprofit leadership career in universities, hospitals and consulting with Greek organizations. He is a university adjunct instructor in nonprofit leadership and board governance and is a CFRE exam prep instructor in the Atlanta area.

Rachel Soll: Assistant Director of Advancement, Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation | Foundation staff size: 5-10

Rachel Soll is an experienced leader skilled in cultivating meaningful relationships with internal and external partners. Having worked in community relations and special events for the Tampa Bay Rays and The Walt Disney Company, as well as within the nonprofit industry, Rachel has positioned herself as an expert in coaching individuals and groups on fundraising strategies and best practices. She is driven by developing creative ways to help others make a philanthropic impact in their communities and beyond.

Neil Stanglein: Director of Development, Delta Zeta Foundation | Foundation staff size: 3-5

Neil Stanglein is the Director of Development at the Delta Zeta Foundation, responsible for direct mail, parent/family giving, digital fundraising, Founders Day Challenge (day of giving) and Foundation communications. Prior to joining the Foundation staff in 2017, Neil worked in higher education administration and his fundraising career spans fraternity and sorority housing campaigns to annual giving. A 2006 (Bachelor of Journalism) and 2009 (Master of Education) graduate of the University of Missouri, he also served as the 2022 Chair and 2023 Co-Chair of Seminar.

Kelly Wesley Taylor: Partner, Taylor Bell Consulting | FFE Gold Alliance Partner

Kelly Wesley Taylor was campaign counsel to the Phi Mu Foundation for their recording breaking One Destiny campaign that concluded in 2022. Since then Kelly has worked with the Foundation to create an updated strategic plan and prepare for its next fundraising evolution.

Justine Thomas, CFRE: Director of Advancement, Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation | Foundation staff size: 5-10

Justine Thomas, CFRE, is a dynamic fundraising professional recognized for data-driven development strategies that curate intentional, authentic relationships, with a track record of building major gifts programs from the ground up. With 10+ years experience, her passion for philanthropy lies in securing transformative gifts that inspire donors and align with institutional priorities, as well as coaching anyone to make a meaningful ask for a worthy cause.

Kristin Tofanelli, CFRE: Executive Director, Phi Mu Foundation | Foundation Staff size: 10+

Kristin Tofanelli has been Executive Director of the Phi Mu Foundation since January 2020 and lead her team through the pace setting One Destiny campaign. Now post comprehensive campaign, Kristin is working with her board leadership to determine what’s next for Phi Mu!

Kyle Ungerman: Head of Sales, Crowded | NIC Bronze Alliance Partner 

​​Kyle is the Head of Sales at Crowded where he is responsible for new business & strategic partnerships. Previously, Kyle served as Sales and Partnerships lead at an HR tech company called Covver as well as web anlaytics platform Oribi which led to a $100M acquisition by LinkedIn in 2022. Kyle is a proud alum of Pi Lambda Phi, Kappa Iota Chapter, and is a firm believer in the importance of Greek life fundraising.

Blaine van Buskirk: Director of Finance & Insurance, Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation | Foundation staff size: 10+

Blaine Van Buskirk was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated with his degree in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University in December 2018. He began working for Pi Kappa Alpha in the summer of 2019 where he served as a chapter consultant for two years, traveling to several campuses across the country. After his time as a chapter consultant, he joined the Fraternity’s Finance, Insurance and Real Estate department. He currently serves as Pi Kappa Alpha’s Finance & Insurance Officer where he oversees chapter finance, and manages the Fraternity’s insurance programs.

Ashley VanDewark: Executive Director, Foundation for Fraternal Excellence

Ashley has served as the executive director of the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence since June 2018, implementing major changes immediately through a new brand, growth in programs and adoption of the foundation’s first strategic plan. She joined the staff of the former NIC Foundation in March 2017 after serving her organization Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity as a Leadership Consultant and later as Assistant Director of Fraternity Services-Extension, overseeing the establishment and growth of new collegiate chapters. She also gained extensive project and growth management experience as Business Development Manager for an entrepreneurial group that builds businesses focused on providing educational, engagement and experiential opportunities. In March of 2023, Ashley became a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach to help others improve their quality of life inside and outside of work by capitalizing on their innate strengths.

Steve Vincent: CEO, Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation | Foundation staff size: 5-10 

Steve Vincent is the CEO for the Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation, assuming the role in 2022. In 2023, Steve and his team raised $3.56M, PIKE’s largest fundraising year ever. Steve has been in fundraising as a professional and a volunteer, including president of the Mizzou Alumni Association, Catholic Extension, Pennington & Co. and Chaminade College Preparatory School.

Dr. Tony Vukusich, CFRE: Vice President & Chief Experience Officer, Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation | Foundation staff size: 10+

Dr. Tony Vukusich is the Vice President and Chief Experience Officer for Delta Tau Delta. Vukusich is charged with providing direction and leadership for the overarching Delt experience. In this role, he unifies the marketing and communication teams and provides day-to-day oversight of the programming team, the volunteer services team, and the advancement team. Moreover, his efforts nurture the organization’s strategic initiatives and priorities.
