Fraternal Excellence Starts Here
If you’ve been a friend of the Foundation for a long time, then you know we recently “reimagined” the future of our organization and unveiled a new name and identity that better aligns with what we hope to achieve for our member foundations and the interfraternal community overall. That’s why fraternal excellence starts here with us, and with you.
YOUR SUPPORT DRIVES OUR RENEWED FOCUS
Three Strategic Priorities
CULTURE OF CARE
GOAL: To be the hub of organizational and professional development for fraternal foundations, growing the collective sophistication and impact of fraternity philanthropy
INITIATIVES: Educational programs & events, online knowledge center, continuing education webinars
The Foundation aims to provide top-notch programs and resources for members because we care about your development and interfraternal experience. Further, educational events foster networking relationships that will help you navigate the profession. Your gifts support continued growth of our existing educational programs and creation of new experiences, all to ensure premier continuing education and skill building for fraternal foundation professionals and volunteers at all levels of experience.
GOAL: To provide grants and scholarships to advance the industry’s educational priorities
INITIATIVES:Broad-reaching industry resources, UIFI scholarships, Balfour Fellowships
Fraternal foundations impact the success of fraternities and sororities. Whether you’re funding mental health programming, or annual training for consultants, each foundation has a host of ways it enables success of the overall organization. Similarly, with your gifts we are uniquely positioned to support initiatives that benefit campus fraternity and sorority communities and their students, as well as create resources that impact the entire industry. This includes projects like the North American Interfraternity Conference’s (NIC) Health and Safety Initiative to address hazing, drugs and alcohol abuse, scholarships to the student-based leadership program the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI), or research that will inform data-driven decisions for growth and change.
GOAL: Providing cooperative service to support fraternal foundations
INITIATIVES: Community Foundation Model
The Foundation is committed to increased interfraternal granting and support through adopting a Community Foundation Model, which will also operationally assist emerging foundations. Your gifts help make this model possible and enable us to fund programs like the first-ever philanthropy-focused workshop for new and developing fraternal foundations, offered free of charge as a pre-conference option before The Foundations Seminar. Your support also enables us to secure key partnerships and procure benefits for member foundations that increase operational excellence and grow fundraising capacity, such as the recently-announced offering from DonorSearch for a free wealth screening.
