2026 Outstanding Philanthropist: Janeen Judah

INDIANAPOLIS – Rooted in a deep belief in helping the next generation of Phi Mu women, Janeen Judah has been a loyal donor and inspirational leader with the Phi Mu Foundation for nearly four decades. Through her many years of service and generous gifts, Janeen has created meaningful and everlasting impact for the organization she holds close to her heart.

The Foundation for Fraternal Excellence is proud to present Janeen Judah with a 2026 Outstanding Philanthropist Award. She will be honored at the FFE Awards of Distinction Reception and Dinner in conjunction with Seminar on Sept. 1.

“A true problem-solver at heart, Janeen uses her corporate experience to apply venture capital principles to her philanthropic passions, especially through her Phi Mu Foundation support,” Kristin Tofanelli, Executive Director of Phi Mu, said. “She sees philanthropy as an avenue to address needs and drive innovative solutions. Janeen is always the first to raise her hand to fund a new initiative or program that seems out of reach. She reminds us that we won’t know the true impact unless we are willing to take a risk through new approaches to meet our members where they are. To Janeen, it’s more than writing a check, it’s creating lasting impact.”

Janeen has served Phi Mu in a variety of roles for more than 46 years. She currently serves as the Phi Mu Foundation President, a position she has held since 2022. With her guidance and entrepreneurial spirit, the Foundation raised $20.6 million for its “One Destiny Campaign.”

As an experienced engineer, Janeen is a staunch advocate for women advancing in STEM fields. In 2021, she awarded the first “Janeen Judah Sisters in Engineering Scholarship,” which has since supported 14 Phi Mu women with more than $20,000.

Her academic impact on Phi Mu’s members stretches beyond her scholarship investment. Janeen also provided $30,000 to the Foundation’s Internship Program. Through this program, interns build relationships with chapter officers and help with fundraising efforts.

Janeen also graciously invested $90,000 into mental health resources to give Phi Mu women the resources they need to fuel their own personal health and wellness. With this gift, Phi Mu launched two life-changing programs – BraveTalk and TalkSpace – for its members.

In total, Janeen has given $3.5 million in lifetime and deferred giving to the Phi Mu Foundation.

“In serving Greek organizations and a variety of other nonprofits, Janeen has consistently ‘included service to others’ in her life’s work,” Phi Mu Foundation Treasurer Vicki Ryan said. “Above and beyond, she has demonstrated fraternal and charitable responsibility and encouraged others to take on philanthropic leadership roles.”

The Foundation for Fraternal Excellence looks forward to celebrating Janeen’s generosity and leadership this summer.
