2026 Outstanding Philanthropist: Scott Noble

INDIANAPOLIS — Scott Noble has spent much of his life living by a simple philosophy: “If you choose to live your life for someone else, you will always be significant.” That philosophy has shaped decades of service and giving to Phi Kappa Psi and the broader fraternity community.

The Foundation for Fraternal Excellence is proud to recognize Scott Noble as a 2026 Outstanding Philanthropist. He will be honored at the FFE Awards of Distinction Reception and Dinner in conjunction with Seminar on Sept. 1.

“Scott’s philanthropic record speaks for itself,” said Ronald Ransom, Executive Director for Phi Kappa Psi. “Over the course of his life, he has been a generous and consistent supporter of the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, and the North American Interfraternity Conference. For his lifetime of service, philanthropy, mentorship, and quiet yet transformative impact on Phi Kappa Psi and the broader fraternal movement, I can think of no individual more deserving of this award than Scott.”

Over the years, Scott has become one of Phi Kappa Psi’s most significant individual donors. He is the second largest single donor in the fraternity’s history, with gifts totaling more than $25 million across housing, programming, and national initiatives. That support includes a $15 million gift to acquire the property, design and construct a new facility, and establish it as the nation’s premier fraternity house for the fraternity’s Texas Alpha Chapter.

Scott’s belief in the broader fraternal movement is evident in the totality and far-reaching nature of his philanthropic giving. Notably, Scott is the largest individual donor to the Elevating Fraternities Campaign. Scott’s $500,000 gift helps FFE support research initiatives and programs focused on enhancing the fraternity experience. He has also played a defining role in one of FFE’s flagship programs, Summit, hosting and underwriting the program for its first ten years and helping establish it as a cornerstone of interfraternal leadership development.

At his alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin, Scott’s support has helped advance fraternity and sorority life in lasting ways. Contributions totaling over three-quarters of a million dollars helped fund the community’s first comprehensive assessment of the Greek student experience, providing data that shaped future priorities and programming. That work later informed the development of the Risk Management Summit and Ladder of Risk framework.

Beyond his philanthropy, Scott has volunteered extensively with Phi Kappa Psi. He served as National President from 2014 to 2016, guiding strategic programming across the fraternity’s chapters and earning recognition from the North American Interfraternity Conference for advances in risk management and operational standards. He has also served as a chapter advisor, recruitment advisor, finance advisor, and American Leadership Academy Director.

“In a world where philanthropy is often transactional, Scott’s is transformational,” said Matt Kifle, Executive Director of Phi Kappa Psi’s Texas Alpha Chapter. “He does not give to be recognized. He gives because he believes — deeply and without reservation — that investing in other people is the most important thing he can do with the life he has been given.”

FFE looks forward to honoring Scott this summer.
