- Understand fundamental planned giving concepts
- Explore various planned giving vehicles and what factors influence individuals to make planned gifts
- Discuss how to effectively communicate the benefits of planned gifts
- Develop strategies to identify potential planned giving donors, along with engaging and recognizing planned giving donors

Meet the Facilitator: Lauren Winther-Hansen
Nonprofit Training Lead at FreeWill
Lauren Winther-Hansen is the nonprofit training lead at FreeWill, a social impact tech company that works with nonprofits to empower donors to make the most meaningful donations of their lives. A former nonprofit fundraiser – most recently with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation – Lauren knows first-hand that charities are often overwhelmed and under-resourced. Helping them more easily embrace new technologies and grow their fundraising is her profession and her passion. She attended Wake Forest University (Go Deacs!) and lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her husband Kris, rescue dog Holly, and rescue cat Felix.
